MK Youth Cabinet
The Milton Keynes Youth Cabinet (YCAB) is made up of 25 young people from across Milton Keynes. We are not a politically biased group; the only people we work for are the young people of Milton Keynes.
The MK Youth Cabinet represents young people at meetings and events - we voice young people's opinions in meetings with decision makers to ensure they take us into account.
The Youth Cabinet has agreed on 3 key campaign ideas which it will be working on. The campaign ideas came from a survey of young people we took during the elections. The campaigns are;
- An All in 1 card which will be aimed at 11-19 year olds, the card will include a concessionary bus card, discounts for shops and a form of ID.
- A critical look at youth provision in MK to find out what’s hot and what’s not.
- A health awareness campaign to improve young people’s health in MK focusing on the areas of smoking, alcohol and the use of illegal drugs.
